Valentin Busch, an experienced offensive player with DEL background, makes a significant move to the EV Lindau Islanders from ECDC Memmingen. This transfer, following Marcus Marsall’s move, brings the second player from Memmingen to the Islanders, promising to enhance the team.

The 26-year-old forward, who started his career in Erding, has already had an impressive journey through the hockey landscape. With DEL experience and at the prime age for the sport, Busch will wear the number 98 for the upcoming season.

His hockey beginnings took place in his hometown before moving early on to the youth team of EV Landshut. His time with the Lower Bavarians was marked by outstanding performances and international recognition as a junior national player.

The path then led him to the renowned Hockey Academy of EC Red Bull Salzburg, where he further honed his skills and achieved national success. He made his first steps in the professional league with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the DEL before moving to the Grizzlys Wolfsburg.

Despite some ups and downs in his career, including an outstanding year as DEL2 Rookie of the Year, Busch brings a wealth of experience and leadership qualities. With 152 DEL and 131 DEL2 games under his belt, he is a valuable addition to the Lindauer team, benefiting from his international experience and ability to support young players.

His decision to join the Islanders was influenced by positive feedback about the organization and the family atmosphere in Lindau. With the goal of returning to peak form and earning higher responsibilities, he looks forward optimistically to this new challenge.

Milo Markovic, the sports director of EV Lindau Islanders, is confident about the signing of Valentin Busch and emphasizes his potential to play an important role in the team.

For Busch himself, the focus initially lies on ice hockey, while simultaneously starting a distance learning course to become a fitness trainer.
