Dank finanzieller Unterstützung aus dem Klimafonds Allgäu wurden bereits verschiedene regionale Klimaschutzprojekte wie PV-Selbstbau-Workshops oder Baumpflanzaktionen gestartet. Auch in diesem Jahr werden wieder rund 60.000 Euro für lokale Projekte vergeben, die sich wirtschaftlich nicht alleine tragen können. Bis zum 30. Juni können Bürgerinnen und Bürger, Vereine, Schulen, Kommunen und Unternehmen Förderanträge beim Energie- und Umweltzentrum Allgäu stellen. Das Geld stammt von den 117 Teilnehmern am Bündnis klimaneutrales Allgäu. Bisher wurden bereits 23 Projekte unterstützt, was ein klares Signal für mehr Klimaschutz vor Ort ist. Whether it’s a PV self-build workshop, mountain bus service or tree planting initiatives – thanks to financial support from the Allgäu Climate Fund, a variety of regional climate protection activities have already been launched in the past. This year, around 60,000 euros will once again be awarded to local projects that cannot sustain themselves economically.
Until June 30, citizens, associations, schools, as well as municipalities or companies can submit funding applications to the Energy and Environment Center Allgäu (eza!).
The funds from the Allgäu Climate Fund come from the 117 participants in the Alliance for a Climate-Neutral Allgäu, including companies, associations, municipalities, and other institutions. These are compensation payments from alliance partners for currently unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions. Four euros from each compensated ton of CO2 flow into the Allgäu Climate Fund. „There are already 23 projects supported by the Climate Fund in progress or already completed,“ reports Sebastian Hartmann, responsible for the Climate-Neutral Allgäu alliance at eza!. „Supporting regional climate protection projects is a crucial part of the alliance strategy and a clear signal for more local climate protection.“
